As you all know, I have been on the hunt for a pair of new boots for while. I couldn’t decide between Chelsea Boots or Ropers there for a little bit, but luckily a few of you commented on the site and on the Instagram and set me straight (Thank Y’all!). After realizing what I wanted, I did a little research and narrowed it down to two different pair of boots, the Justin Marbled Deerlite Ropers and the Lucchese 1883 Ranch Hand Ropers.
I took a trip to a local Cavender’s and tried both pairs on. From the beginning, the answer was obvious. I loved the color and the leather of the Luccheses. From the sole, to the construction, to the simplicity, I knew these boots were for me.
I have not regretted my decision one bit. After having many chances to wear these bad boys in, they only get better. The comfort level is great and the short heel is so much better than the Tony Lama boots I have been wearing. I love the short shaft, as these boots are very easy to slip on. Though the price tag is higher than the pair of Justin and most boots I have been wearing, I knew I was paying for better quality and better durability. Plus with a Gala event coming up for St. Jude’s (more on this to come), I will have the perfect event to wear them.
If you are in the market for a good pair of cowboy boots, I can not recommend a pair of Lucchese Boots more!
