G.H. Bass & Co. Canvas Penny Loafers

GH Bass - Makers of the original penny loafer

So if you didn’t know already, I have been working on expanding my shoe collection for the past few months. Tired of boat shoes and New Balance’s everyday, I opted to find drivers, penny loafers, bit loafers, and boots; I needed a few of them all. Recently while searching the interwebs, I came across a company I had heard mentioned before but never looked at their inventory, GH Bass & Company. At first glance, they look like your typical shoe/fashion line clothing store until I saw that they were the original maker of the penny loafer. After that, I was hooked. Searching through their Weejun (penny loafer) collection, I came upon a pair of canvas Weejuns. For the price ($30 on  sale), they couldn’t be beat. I had to order them immediately.

Upon receiving them, I realized just how comfortable they were, the canvas/leather-lined two-tone upper and a perfect leather sole were a match made in heaven. These shoes cannot be beat for the price! I love them!

Unfortunately, they are out of stock on the color I chose. However, they are having a sale of 25% off your entire order (their sale items are already marked up to 70% off). I suggest you head over and find a pair of shoes, or even something from their apparel collection, that fits your wardrobe.

Good to see Bass get some press, I have been a proponent of their shoes for a while. I check out their local outlet pretty often and always manage to have some good finds.

      Chris,

I haven’t seen any outlets around me, but if I find one I’m sure I’ll buy the store! Glad you appreciate the post!

I would double check outlets around you. I don’t know that I have been to many that don’t have a Bass Outlet. Just got a pair of wingtips there for $32.00

Can’t beat that! I’ll have to check into to it. Thanks for the tip!
