Chelsea Boots vs. Ropers

I have had a dilemma lately. Being from Texas, I obviously have to own a pair of boots. What Texan doesn’t have some, right? I posted about wanting a pair of Justin Ropers a few months back, but still haven’t gotten them. My dilemma is now I don’t know whether to go for a pair of ropers or a pair of chelsea boots. I love the look of khakis and ropers with a blazer, but have recently come to love the look of the chelsea boots as well. Both are very classy and will look good with plenty of my outfits. I feel that both can do what I want. Am I just overthinking the matter or not?

Here are the choices I am looking at:

Do I need both, or one? If just one, which pair should I get? I need your help, what is your opinion on the matter?

I haven’t ever owned a pair of chelsea boots but always have been partial to a good pair of cowboy boots. I think they tend to get a little more notice.

I agree! You can’t go wrong with a pair of cowboy boots. I think that with almost unanimous decision, ropers it is. Thanks for the input!

Chelsea boots. I call them Paddock boots. Better on your feet, I think.

Roper’s hands down. Nothing against the Chelsea boot but its really not a boot, its a high top shoe really. Roper’s are classic and never go out of style and they go with kaki’s and jeans perfectly. Sid Mashburn currently has two perfect options in Justin Ropers, the Bay Apache and the Brown Corona. I have both styles and they’re perfect!

Great input! I love the look of the ropers, and had no idea Sid Mashburn even sold Justin. I will definitely have to look into this and find a good pair. Thanks for your help!!
